The municipality of Chiclana de la Frontera has paid a heartfelt tribute to the Mallorcan businessman Juan Llull Juan, President of Hipotels Hotels & Resorts, by dedicating a roundabout in Novo Sancti Petri located at the junction of Avenida Octavio Augusto and Calle Asdrúbal.
The ceremony, held on 7 November 2025, was attended by the Mayor José María Román, representatives of the tourism sector, members of the Hipotels team and Mr. Llull’s family. It was a deeply emotional event symbolising more than three decades of dedication to the economic, social and tourism development of Chiclana and the Costa de la Luz.
A recognition of lasting commitment
For over thirty years, Hipotels has been a key player in Chiclana’s growth, promoting a sustainable, high-quality model of tourism. The inauguration of this roundabout in honour of Mr. Juan Llull recognises his visionary leadership, perseverance, and people-focused approach.
During the ceremony, Mayor José María Román highlighted that Mr. Llull “believed in Chiclana before anyone else did, creating jobs, prosperity and confidence in the destination.”
Today, Hipotels operates four hotels in Novo Sancti Petri, providing more than 800 direct jobs and helping position the area as one of Andalusia’s most prestigious destinations.

The event took place near Hipotels’ properties in Novo Sancti Petri —a symbolic location that reflects the close connection between the brand and the region. In his speech, Mr. Llull expressed his gratitude to the people of Chiclana, emphasising that what inspired him most to invest in the area was “the warmth and humanity of its people.”
