Some stories are written with passion, dedication and authenticity. Nazaret Mendoza’s, now director of the Flamenco Conil hotel, is one of them. Her constant smile and tireless spirit make her career journey not only an example of female leadership, but also a tribute to roots, family and the love for her hometown: Conil de la Frontera.
A dream born between waves, receptions and unforgettable summers
From a young age, summers by the sea with her grandparents were pure magic. "I remember coming with my grandfather Francisco and my grandmother Antonia. My great-grandmother had her house nearby, and we often went to Fuente del Gallo beach together." Visiting the Flamenco Conil hotel left a deep impression. “I used to play at selling rooms and trips,” she laughs. “I loved seeing how the reception staff spoke different languages. It felt like having a superpower."
This hotel, with its unmistakable scent and views of the Atlantic, wasn’t just a building: it was part of her family history. "My mother devoted over 10 years of her life to Flamenco Conil. She loved the hotel just like I do... it’s always been a special place for us." Today, as director, Nazaret leads that same place with tenderness and responsibility.
A career built on passion, consistency and humility
Nazaret’s path was as determined as it was exciting. She studied Tourism, refined her German during summer stays in Germany, and completed her degree in Frankfurt. After several professional experiences, the decision to become a hotel director became a turning point. “I felt it was time to move from reception to the management team,” she confesses.
Destiny led her to Hipotels, thanks to inspiring figures such as Alberto García (Director of Hipotels Gran Conil) and Gabriel Bover (General Manager of Hipotels Andalusia), who believed in her potential and made her feel part of the family from day one. "I felt really comfortable during the selection process because both Alberto and Gabriel supported me from the beginning..." Shortly after becoming Assistant Director at Hipotels Gran Conil, her long-awaited dream came true: leading Hipotels Flamenco Conil, the hotel of her childhood.
Leading from the heart and staying grounded
“Leading Flamenco Conil, the hotel of my childhood, is hard to put into words.” Nazaret feels deeply moved and fortunate by the stories within those walls.
She expresses heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Bover and the Llull family for their trust. "Not everyone gets the chance to work in a place so full of personal meaning." Above all, she feels a great responsibility: to care for every detail, every team member and every experience that keeps the essence of the hotel alive.
"I couldn’t be prouder of the team I’m lucky to be part of and of the Flamenco Conil family. Some employees have been here since the beginning, and the knowledge and heart they share is priceless."

Advice for new generations
"Live this profession with open eyes and heart," she advises young people entering the tourism industry. Learning from each experience, caring for others and maintaining a sense of wonder are, for her, the true keys to a career that goes far beyond a job.
