A look into the collaboration between Hipotels and Balearic Basketball

That is why, for years, we have accompanied the Balearic Basketball Federation (FBIB) in a project that goes far beyond sponsorship.
A tournament that connects islands and people
Every February, the Hipotels Illes de Bàsquet Tournament brings together 96 children from all the Balearic Islands. These are days full of sport, learning and camaraderie. During that weekend, Hipotels provides accommodation for the teams, but what’s built goes further: an environment of trust, where enthusiasm, respect and companionship are at the heart of the experience.
The tournament’s 2025 edition continued to support the Toni Fontcuberta – Risbasket Foundation, reinforcing the event’s educational and human values.
Actions that grow from genuine collaboration
In 2025, the collaboration between Hipotels and the FBIB expanded with new initiatives focused on recognising the people who give life to basketball in the Balearics. Coaches, clubs, players and families all played a role in a series of meaningful events.
A highlight of the year was a meeting at Hipotels Gran Playa de Palma between members of the Spanish national women’s team and the girls of Bàsquet Manacor’s under-14 team — an inspiring moment that will not be forgotten.
Throughout the year, Hipotels also provided spaces for technical meetings, assemblies and training sessions, creating the right atmosphere for the game to continue growing.
Gala Balear del Basket: celebrating a shared path
In November 2025, the Hipotels Playa de Palma Palace Convention Centre hosted the first edition of the Gala Balear del Basket. A sincere tribute to the people and efforts behind this sport in the Balearics.
During the gala, the Llull family received the award for Business Sponsorship and Collaboration, a heartfelt thank-you from the basketball community for a long-standing and committed partnership.
