We have just returned from La Geria in Los Pocillos , Puerto Del Carmen . Sunday 28th May

The hotel is lovely in decor and the pool area very nice , cleaning standards are high but the book ends there.
We were booked ALL INCLUSIVE and had paid for that service but we found that we were treated like plebs to be exact , you sat and waited and waited and waited at your table to be served only to be served after all paying guests got their drinks , it was awful the waiters totally disliked the All Inclusive residents , when you finally got served if you ordered a lager this came in a small glass or plastic water cup , when asked for a large beer we were told "not for all inclusive " when we asked for a bottle of water "not for all inclusive " only small plastic cups of water available.
Whether this is due to waiters thinking they are being short changed because of not receiving has many tips I dont know , but if they had been civil they would of got a tip every time of us . But you are hardly going to tip some ignoramas
If it is that they feel against All Inclusive because local bars etc do not get as much trade i really dont know .?? and so make it totally miserable and unfriendly because of that ?????
I do know that a strong complaint is going into Jet 2 whom we like travelling with very much by the way , along with a copy of the printed rule and regulations for the All Inclusive guest or pleb it is completely disgusting , we paid for this service and we did not get it.

Hotel is very clean with friendly, helpful staff. Pool area is swept all day and the sunbeds are jet washed regularly. Choice of food is very good, presentation and quality is high. Rooms are a good size and always well cleaned. Beach is just across the road, shops and bars just a short walk. Puerto del Carmen is about 30 mins walk. Airport is 10 min taxi ride away. We had a problem with our shower, reported it to reception on our way to dinner. It was fixed by the time we came back. Hotel seems to be popular with older people. It has a small play area for children. Very relaxing atmosphere. One small criticism: The only TV channels available for UK visitors are Sky News and BBC World News. No entertainment channels.

The first impression of this hotel is excellent and the reception and staircase areas are beautiful. All the staff throughout our stay were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were cleaned everyday and towels changed if requested. The pool and garden areas are excellent and very spread out so you can select quite a private area. The rooms on the ground floor had much bigger balconies than the higher floors but the higher floors have great views through the trees out over the sea. The beach is just across the road, which is not very busy. The food in the restaurant is very good, with plenty of choices everyday and fresh steak and fish cooked while you wait. The only areas that let the hotel down are that some of the decoration is a little shabby, and the serving of drinks. We were all inclusive and these guests are made to feel very inferior, while the guests who signed for drinks received much quicker waitor service and larger glasses, which made me very angry as we had paid a lot of money for this hotel!!! I questioned this and the very nice waiter, Christopher, explained they are not allowed to give All Inclusive guests the larger glasses!! What a stupid policy!! These is one of the reasons we would never recommend or return to this hotel, the other reason was the average age of the guests was quite old and the entertainment reflected this.
